Trail running in Telluride

This past weekend we traveled to Telluride with family and friends to participate in the 51st Annual Imogene Pass Run. This is a very popular trail run which typically sells out within hours of registration opening. Due to heavy rains washing out part of the Imogene Pass, the traditional 17.1-mile point-to-point race from Ouray (7,810 ft) to Telluride (8,750 ft) over the 13,114-foot Imogene Pass (with a 5,500-foot elevation gain) was modified. This year, the race featured a 14.2-mile "lollipop" course, starting and ending in Ouray. The revised course still presented a significant challenge, with a 3,100-foot elevation gain over a 7.1-mile climb, followed by a 7.1-mile descent.

The views along parts of the run were absolutely spectacular, inspiring me to dig out my phone and capture the beauty around us. The photos not only showcase the stunning landscape but also feature our bright orange shirts promoting "BetsyRunsUSwithMS.com." Betsy and I wore them proudly, and they helped us stand out, even in the largest of crowds.

Betsy did an amazing job, placing 4th among women in her age group and 94th out of 762 women overall. We’re all incredibly happy for her and couldn’t be prouder! The strength she’s gained through her training was clear as she flew past me on the downhill section of the trail only to be seen again at the finish line :).

The shirts above (also available in white and orange) can be purchased by clicking the link above or by visiting the "Shop" section in the website’s menu. We also have other items for purchase to help promote the run. Plus, all profits from sales will go directly toward funding Betsy's Run.

Betsy is going to be the guest on Dream Run Camp Live this Thursday at 5 pm AZ time (MST). I will try to send out links prior to the event if you are signed up for the site. Should be on both Instagram and Youtube.

Until next time.....
